A few weeks ago I was in a market when I came across a sign that said "National Pie Day". While this would bring most people joy, I was genuinely upset. How did I not know it was National Pie Day?! Seriously...how could I miss that? I LOVE PIE. Unfortunately, this is not the first time something like this has happened to me. (I actually feel like it happens a lot.) I am on instagram or something and I see all these pictures of delicious looking (we will use Ice Cream for the purpose of this exercise) Ice Cream with captions like "In Honor of National Ice Cream Day". I am thinking - What?! Why didn't anyone tell me it was National Ice Cream Day!! And then I am sitting there in my pajamas in my bed pouting because I didn't even have any ice cream that day! (That is a true story by the way).
So, after the fiasco with the National Pie Day, I decided that was it. I was never going to miss an important Food Holiday EVER again. So I did some research and found out that basically every single day is a food holiday. Who knew? But I did you guys a favor, and complied a list of all the most important ones. I skipped the dumb ones like "brown bag lunch day" and "veggie day" (gross), and "more herbs less salt day" (yeah, right), and stuck with the really important ones like Chocolate Covered Anything Day. So now, there are no more excuses. You and I should never have to miss an important Food Holiday ever again. Bring on the Ice Cream! (and/or the Nutella since today is World Nutella Day!)
