I might be the only person in the history of the world that has ever been grounded from baking. That's right. When I was a teen, it wasn't the computer, or the phone or the tv that got taken away. For me, it was the unsalted butter. From an early age I learned there was nothing I loved more than making other people happy - and in high school, I discovered the best way to do this was to offer them a homemade sweet treat.
Since then, my life has taken me in a million different directions. I have lived everywhere from California, to New York City to a small town in the Bavarian forest in Southern Germany. Life has had its ups and downs, but no matter where I went or what I did, I always ended up back in the kitchen. Eventually, I decided to stop searching for the "perfect career" and start doing what I loved. Now Sprinkles for Breakfast is my full-time job! Not only do I get to bake colorful and tasty treats, but I also get to encourage people like you that it is time to stop with self-doubt and start baking!
