For me, the first Friday in June (today) is kind of the best day of the year. Why? Because it's NATIONAL DOUGHNUT DAY. And that means I get to eat as many doughnuts as I want and no one is allowed to judge me. Basically, it's the best cheat day EVER.
But, once the holiday is over, it's not really appropriate to eat massive amounts of doughnuts on a daily basis (even though I wish it was). Especially if you are like my friend Arielle, who is trying to live a healthy balanced lifestyle and look freaking fabulous. In the last year, Arielle has lost over 100 POUNDS! How amazing is that?! 100 pounds is a HUGE accomplishment and I am so proud of her!
So in honor of the holiday and her amazing weight loss journey, we decided to team up and create the Healthiest Doughnuts Ever! They may not be the fried doughy goodness you are used to, but they are definitely still delicious..and a lot better for you.
