This week, people.com wrote an article about the Taylor Swift Lyric Cakes I have been making. I am not going to lie…it made me feel really cool. It’s not every day that you get written up in a major magazine…
Unless you are actually Taylor Swift. Then, I guess you are pretty used to that sort of thing. But, for me, it was pretty exciting!
But now that my 15 minutes of fame are over, I am going to get back to what we came here for…the cake. This weeks’ cake is another Taylor Swift Cake inspired by her song “Out of the Woods”.
I realize I already did a cake inspired by this song (remember the Paper Airplanes Cake?) but there were just too many good lyrics in there to just pick one. This cake is based off my favorite lyric in the entire album…
You took a Polaroid of us
Then discovered (then discovered)
The rest of the world was black and white
But we were in screaming color
And I remember thinking…
Are we out of the woods yet?
I know there are a LOT of good lyrics in this album, but for some reason I just love this one. I also really love how the cake turned out. I am pretty much obsessed with the splatter pain technique. So don’t be surprised if you see some more of it popping up on the blog real soon.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a good weekend! I am off to another Doughnut Tour destination. There are only a few left! Can anyone guess which one I am headed to??
