This week I figured out that you can make Spiderwebs with melted marshmallows. Not only does it look super cool, but it is also super fun to do (mostly because it is very messy). So naturally, I decided to marshmallow web every dessert I could possibly think of.
Doughnuts, cake pops, pretzel sticks – you name it, I marshmallow webed it. But out of all the webby desserts I made this week, these apples were by far the coolest.
I made my candy coating a dark purple color – but you can really make these apples any color you want. I also figured out that you need to work with room temperature apples – not apples that have been in the fridge. Cold apples will create little bubbles in the candy coating. So avoid that.
Also, you do have to work kind of fast to get all the apples dipped before your candy starts to harden. But head over to P.S. I Made This for the full recipe so you can start your own marshmallow webbing party!
