SOFT AND CHEWY CHOCOLATE CARAMEL GINGERBREAD COOKIES

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup caramel bits

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, cinnamon, ground ginger and cloves. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, cinnamon, ground ginger and cloves. Set aside.
  • Add molasses, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  • Add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and caramel bits.
  • Using a small ice cream scoop, scoop out cookies onto baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 12 minutes.
  • Let cool on baking sheet before transferring to wire rack.
